The Ministry of Health and Population has stated that a vaccination campaign against coronavirus has been launched in 10 Himalayan districts for people above 18 years of age from today.
Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry Dr Sameer Kumar Adhikari informed that the first vaccination campaign against corona virus is being conducted in all the districts above 18 years of age from today till 10 October.
According to him, in Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Rasuwa, Jumla, Mugu, Humla, Dolpa, Bajura and Darchula, everyone above 18 years of age has been vaccinated for the first time.
The government on Friday alone imported 4.4 million Verocell vaccines from the Chinese government.
Similarly, in Kavre and Chitwan, students above 18 years of age and people over 35 years old have been vaccinated. He said that during the campaign, people above 40 years of age and students who missed to get vaccinated above 18 years of age will be vaccinated in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Ramechhap, Sarlahi and Achham districts.
Similarly, in 55 districts except Manang, Mustang and East Rukum, all citizens above 45 years of age and students above 18 years of age will also be vaccinated during the campaign. For those who have already been vaccinated with the first dose, the second dose of Verocell will be provided from October 21 to October 31.
A second dose vaccination campaign has also been launched for the citizens who have been given the first dose from today. The second phase is being conducted in Kathmandu district from today till September 22.
The ministry has also requested to bring your identity card for vaccination.
