Police on Monday evening arrested a woman on charge of killing her husband from Madhuban Municipality-4. The couple’s son has also been apprehended by the police.

The deceased has been identified as Lachiram Tharu (32), a local resident of Badarbhariya in the same municipality.

The accused has been identified as 38-year-old Sita Tharu while the name of the couple’s 18-year-old son has not been disclosed.

They both allegedly beat the deceased. Severely injured Tharu was taken to Gulariya-based District Hospital but died while undergoing treatment.

Acting on a tip-off, Dhodhari-based Area Police Office personnel nabbed the deceased’s wife and son.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said the police.
