Police on Saturday arrested a woman in possession of 17 kilograms of marijuana in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-14, Morang district.

The arrested has been identified as Aarti Devi Yadav (25) of Jatuwa in Biratnagar.

Acting on a tip-off that Yadav was hiding the substances in her residence, a team deployed from the Rani-based Area Police Office raided her house and seized the marijuana.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
