Police arrested a youth on charge of trying to bribe on-duty police personnel at a check post in Golanjar Rural Municipality-7, Sindhuli district, on Saturday night. The accused had tried to bribe the police by offering Rs 200. 

The arrested has been identified as Kujar Ali (22), a resident of Bardibas Municipality-1 in Morang district.

Ali was driving a vehicle with registration number BA 12 Cha 1682 and heading towards Kathmandu from Bardibas. Ali had offered Rs 200 as bribe to on-duty security personnel deployed at Khurkot check post. He was immediately arrested.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
