Police have arrested a youth for killing a man in Bhimdutta Municipality-2 of Kanchanpur district.
The deceased has been identified as Bir Ram Luhar (42) of Tilkeni in the same municipality while the accused has been identified as Girdhari Luhar (22) of the same locality.
Girdhari hit Bir Ram with a bamboo cane during a personal dispute leading to Bir Ram being severely injured. Severely injured Bir Ram was rushed to Mahakali Provincial Hospital but died while undergoing treatment.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of security personnel deployed from Kanchanpur-based District Police Office (DPO) and Jimuwa-based Area Police nabbed Gidhari on Wednesday evening.
Further investigation into the case is being carried out, informed the DPO, Kanchanpur.
