Police arrested a youth on charge of raping a 15-year-old minor girl from Sunsari district on Monday evening.
The accused has been identified as Dilip Shrestha (21), a local resident of Sundarharaicha Municipality-6 in Morang district.
Shrestha allegedly raped the minor on Sunday and had been absconding since then. Security personnel deployed from Itahari-based Area Police Office personnel nabbed the accused from his house where he had been hiding.
He has been charged under a rape case and further investigation is being carried out, informed the District Police Office, Sunsari.
Meanwhile, a man was arrested on charge of raping a nine-year-old minor girl from Chathar Rural Municipality-1 in Terhathum district on Wednesday afternoon.
The accused has been identified as Sanghe Sherpa (Furwa), a 50-year-old local resident of the same rural municipality.
Sherpa allegedly lured and raped the minor by taking her to his house. Acting on a tip-off, the Sukrabare-based Area Police Office nabbed the accused.
Further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
Police in Sunsari district on Tuesday afternoon arrested a man on the charge of raping 58-year-old woman in Chadani Chowk in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-11.
The accused has been identified as Bal Bahadur Thapa (35), resident of Chadani Chowk in Dharan.
Thapa allegedly raped the woman in her residence while she was sleeping. Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Dharan-based Area Police Office detained the accused.
Further investigation into the case is underway, said the police.
