KATHMANDU: 59 leaders and activists have left the CPN- UML in support of Bhim Rawal’s Matribhumi Jagaran Abhiyaan. Various departments and committees of the UML announced their resignation from the party.

UML Central Tourism Department member Ramesh Bahadur Kunwar, Sudurpaschim Province Committee members Chakra Rawal, Jung BK, Keshar Miyan, Nirmala Rawal, Dudhkala Bista and others have resigned.

They have called the decision to strip Bhim Rawal of the party’s organized membership arbitrary and autocratic by Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Rawal was expelled from the party by the UML secretariat meeting on December 25 for violating discipline.
