Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has clarified that an action against the governor had to be taken for not cooperating with the finance minister. The government on Friday formed a three-member inquiry committee headed by a former Supreme Court judge Maha Prasad Adhikari.
At the same time, the officers had been suspended. At a meeting of the ruling parties on Monday, Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa and CPN-Maoist leader Barshaman Pun questioned the economic crisis and the action taken against the governor.
Prime Minister Deuba, on the other hand, said that action was taken against the finance minister for not cooperating.
At a meeting of the ruling party, Prime Minister Deuba said, “The finance minister told me that the governor was very uncooperative.”
