Bhaktapur-based Nepali Congress warrior and senior writer, author Tilak Prakash Kayastha's book 'Birgranth' has been released today.
The 'Birgranth' compiled and written by Kayastha has been published by the Suvarna Smriti Parishad. The book discusses in detail the contribution of the martyrs and warriors of the democratic movement who sacrificed their lives in the democratic movement of Nepal, said Uddhav Dhungana, chairman of the book publishing house Suvarna Smriti Parishad.
He informed that the book, which has been released today, contains the stories of the struggles of 60 martyrs and heroic warriors from the first martyr of Nepal, Lakhan Thapa, to the Jana Andolan of 1997, 2007, 2046 BS and 2062 BS.
Author Kayastha informed that the book provides information about the physical and mental struggle of the heroic warriors and democracy fighters for the attainment of democracy as well as the oppression and suffering of the people from the Rana period to the monarchy. He said, "We have succeeded in bringing to the readers the collected book 'Birgranth' covering the life of warriors and their families in prisons from Rana period to monarchy in the movement for democracy and independence of Nepal.
Saying that it took about four years to compile the book by compiling the real biography of the heroic warrior, the author Kayastha said that the book was accurately illustrated by researching, researching historical books, source material and studying the periodicals to bring it in the form of a book. Although the book includes biographies of 60 warriors, Dhungana, chairman of the Council of Publishers, said that the second part of the book would be published to include similar biographies of many other warriors involved in the democracy movement.
This is the 14th work of the author Kayastha. On the occasion of Democracy Day, he had also published a book titled 'Nationalist Leader BP Koirala who does not know how to bow down'. Even before this, his Nepali language 'Yomri' (collection of sayings), 'Dhanmaya' (short poetry), 'Sexual Knowledge Psychology', 'Nugah Ja' (collection of essays), 'Vayagu Hathya' (collection of stories), 'Khwabi Jhasuka' ( Mourning Poetry), 'Dedication' (Collection of Poems), 'Kamala' (Collection of Stories), Nepali Language 'What is Family Planning, Why, How' (Collection of Articles), 'Sexual Knowledge Psychology' (Collection of Articles), 'Sharda' (Collection of Articles). Mourning Poetry), 'Laxman Rekha' (Collection of Essays) have been published and Jeevan Darshan is being prepared for publication.
