The Nepali Congress candidate from the alliance still has the lead in the Biratnagar Metropolitan Corporation.
According to the latest results, Congress candidate Nagesh Koirala is leading with 14,061 votes. His rival Sagar Thapa of CPN (UML) got 10,692 votes and while independent candidate Umesh Yadav polled 4,501 votes.
Similarly, Shilpa Nirala Karki of CPN-UML is leading with 12,232 votes. From her rival coalition party, Amarendra Yadav of Janata Samajwadi Party of Nepal got 7,440 votes and Binda Kumari Luintel Acharya of RPP got 3,470 votes.
