Court grants 12-day remand for Durga Prasai

KATHMANDU: The court has extended the remand for investigation of Durga Prasai, the commander of the violent protest that took place in Tinkune, Kathmandu on March 28 (Chaitra 15), by 12 days. The Kathmandu District Court on Friday granted the police a 12-day remand to investigate him.

In addition, a bench of Kathmandu District Court Judge Shishir Raj Dhakal granted Prasai 12 days remand for investigation, informed the court’s information officer Deepak Kumar Shrestha.

Police said he was arrested from Birtamod, Jhapa on Friday. Police brought him from Jhapa to Kathmandu today and presented him in court for an extension of his remand.
