The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) has urged like-minded political parties, fronts, and groups for unification.
The party has proposed for unity to build a strong alternative force in the country from the unity of true communists. The party has recently united the CPN (Janawadi) and the National Awakening Council. The Janawadi has 45 district committees headed by Dev Singh Mahata and more than 11,000 leaders and cadres of the same number. Similarly, all the members of the council headed by Sadhya Bahadur Bhandari have joined the CPN (S).
Deputy General Secretary of the party and Chief of the Publicity Department Jagannath Khatiwada informed that there was a wave of people leaving various parties and joining his party in a short period of time.
CPN (UML) central committee member and Sunsari leader Dharmaraj Niraula led 300 and Palpa's leader Yadav Bahadur Rayamajhi led 67 leaders and cadres. Both of them are former MPs.
