CPN (US) completes preparations for Socialist Awakening Journey

The CPN (Unified Socialist) has said that the entire preparation for the launch of the nationwide Socialist Awakening Campaign, 2080 is over. The party is all set to begin the Campaign from October 1.

To be started from the Mechi River in Kakadvitta in Jhapa at 9 am, the Campaign will go through many places across the country before concluding on October 16, said party's Deputy Secretary-General and spokesperson Jagannath Khatiwada organizing a press conference in Kakadvitta.

Party Chairman and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal would mark the beginning of the Campaign on Sunday.

On the first day, the assemblies would be organized in Kakadvitta, Birtamod, Damak and Urlabari or Pathari in Jhapa and Biratchowk in Morang district.

According to Khatiwada, some 40 assemblies and conferences will be organized in all seven provinces.

On Monday, the second day of the 16-day campaign, the assemblies will be held in Itahari, Inaruwa, Bhardaha and Rajbiraj.

Similarly, the party's agenda and programmes on socialism and making the country prosperous would be shared with people, and advice would be taken from them regarding gaining clarity on the next moves of the party.

The campaign would share the party's transformative agendas and plan of actions being raised for the nation, party's vice-chairman Ghanendra Basnet said.

The event will conclude by organizing a programme in Surkhet on October 16.
