Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal held a meeting on Saturday.
At the meeting held at Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar, the three leaders dwelt on contemporary political issues.
Furthermore, issues relating to holding the local level election and endorsing the American grant worth over Rs 55 billion for sustainable development and poverty alleviation were also discussed in the meeting.
The leaders of the coalition parties also deliberated on working in unison to move ahead by resolving the disruption of the House of Representatives (HoR) due to major opposition party CPN (UML).
During the discussion, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Dahal and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Nepal proposed to call the HoR meeting on February 16 instead of February 14 in consideration of the demands put forth by the major opposition, according to Dahal’s personal assistant Ganga Dahal.
The three also agreed to continue the current five-party coalition till the election, she added.
