The Election Commission has asked Komal Oli, the candidate of CPN (UML) in Dang in the House of Representatives election, for an explanation about the use of children for election campaigning.
According to the election code of conduct, there is a provision that children should not be used or allowed to participate in election campaigns, public meetings, and processions. Singer Oli was previously a member of the National Assembly on behalf of the UML.
