EC stars ballot printing and transport

The Election Commission has started to transport the printed ballots for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly member elections to be held on November 20.

For the House of Representatives and State Assembly elections, the Election Commission has so far transported the ballot papers to Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Solukhumbu, Udaipur, Saptari, Mahottari, Dhanusha, Sirha, Taplejung, Panchthar, Ilam, Jhapa, Sankhuwasabha, Terhthum, Bhojpur, Dhankuta, Morang and Sunsari. 

A total of four crore six lakh five thousand ballot papers were printed. The printing of 204,210,000 ballot papers for the proportional representation system for the House of Representatives has been completed, while the printing of 201,840,000 ballot papers for the proportional representation system for all the seven provinces has been completed.

According to the commission, 1.7 million ballot papers have been printed for the first-come, first-served system.
