Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dilendra Prasad Badu said there had been "continuous efforts" to get the US aid project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) signed into parliament and that a time had been set for Percy to reach a consensus.

Leaving today's meeting of the House of Representatives, Minister Badu said that the proposal should be brought to the Parliament to resolve the debates and disputes that have arisen in the streets about MCC. Minister Badu said, "Our aim is to bring this issue in the parliament and bring it up for discussion. As the parties need some more time for discussion, we are trying to gather more consensus and table it in the next meeting. ”

The next meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled to be held on Friday, March 20 at 1 pm, while the meeting of the top leaders of the ruling coalition is scheduled to be convened on March 20. A senior leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Jhala Nath Khanal said that the proposal should not be moved until the MCC agreement is amended as it was made by misleading the people. He said, "Some issues can be agreed upon after ten years. Some issues are refined, modified, changed, there is only consensus. Is it done by using force on the issue of disagreement? ” Former Prime Minister Khanal's response to the journalist's question that street protests and sitting in government go hand in hand is, "Why not? It's fun. Don't you see what is happening here? ”

CPN (Maoist Center) leader Onsari Gharti said that the proposal was not tabled in today's meeting as the MCC was a matter of national concern and the opposition parties were still in a state of protest. He said, "Any party in the alliance can make its own decision on the proposal and other parties may not accept it. I did not go to the table today because of the opposition's obstruction. ”
