Main opposition CPN UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba need not prioritise the vaccination against COVID-19 now.

The reaction from the erstwhile prime minister Oli came the day after Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba reiterated to move ahead prioritising the vaccination while seeking the vote of confidence. Oli expressed his view that since the erstwhile government led by him had already done the needful tasks to bring vaccines from abroad, there is no need for the present government to prioritise the vaccination.

Speaking at the session for CPN UML Central Committee (CC) held at Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation in Chyasal, Lalitpur, today, Oli claimed that his government had already made arrangements for the vaccination.

Further, Oli claimed that his administration had also arranged to provide the flood and landslide survivors with relief along with housing programmes for displaced families. He argued that while his government had done something for the country and the people to be proud of, the opposition and other parties opposed to defending their own existence.

Oli further went on arguing that in 2051 BS too, the reactionary forces toppled the government led by Man Mohan Adhikari despite its successful work. Oli said, the same way, the reactionary forces conspired to divide the party by using some aspirants within the party.

On the occasion, former Prime Minister Oli also claimed that the previous government under his leadership led the country towards prosperity in accordance with the constitution, law and democratic process and strengthened international relations.
