KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) is set to reconvene today after its previous session was adjourned.
On Thursday, Speaker Devraj Ghimire held discussions with whips of major political parties regarding the session’s proceedings, but no agreement was reached. As a result, the session was rescheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
Opposition parties, including the Maoist Centre, Rastriya Swatantra Party, and Unified Socialist, have insisted that the Prime Minister address the House concerning the removal of Kulman Ghising from his role as Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly is also set to meet today at 1:15 PM. Its previous session on Thursday was adjourned due to disruptions by opposition lawmakers.
