The meeting of the House of Representatives has started about an hour later than the scheduled time. At the beginning of the meeting which started at 3 pm, the lawmakers of the main opposition party CPN (UML) have surrounded the place, chanting slogans.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota started the proceedings of the meeting amidst the protests of the opposition. On behalf of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dilendra Prasad Badu presented the "Annual Report of the Attorney General, Fiscal Year 2020/21".
Similarly, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma proposed to have a general discussion on the grant assistance agreement between the Government of Nepal and the US aid agency Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). The meeting continues the theoretical discussion on MCC.
