Janakpur named the permanent capital of Province 2. A meeting of the state assembly held on Monday decided Janakpur, the permanent capital of state 2, by two-thirds majority.
99 members of parliament had participated in the voting in the state assembly. Out of which 78 had voted in favor of keeping Janakpur as the state capital.
