KATHMANDU: Opposition parties, including CPN-Maoist Center, have decided to reject the ordinance brought by the government.
The decision to reject the ordinance was taken at a meeting of the main opposition parties held at Singha Durbar. The winter session of parliament is set to begin tomorrow (Friday).
In a meeting held at the call of CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, the opposition parties said that the government has brought the ordinance beyond the rules and procedures, said Hitraj Pandey, Chief Whip of the Maoist Center.
CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Unified Socialist Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, and the acting president of the National Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Acting Chair DP Aryal, RPP leader Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan, Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairman Mahindra Yadav, Janamorcha Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC, and other leaders. were present at the meeting held at Singha Durbar.
