KATHMANDU: The Maoist Center is set to kick off a six-month nationwide campaign from Kachanakabal Rural Municipality in Jhapa on February 15.
The campaign, which will begin along the “Hulaki Highway,” will travel across the country, reaching Mahakali before transitioning to the Madan Bhandari Highway.
It will culminate at the base of Mount Everest in Solukhumbu. The plan for the campaign was outlined during the party’s fifth plenary meeting in Jhapa.
Currently, efforts are focused on mobilizing party members and organizing village and town conventions, according to party sources.
Leaders, including Deputy General Secretary Haribol Gajurel, have stated that the purpose of the campaign is to address internal contradictions and rectify political mistakes.
Gajurel emphasized that this initiative aims to strengthen the party, which he believes has been weakened by errors, not just leadership issues.
