Maoist Centre candidate clinches PA seat in Tehrathum (2)

The ruling Alliance's candidate, CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Durga Prasad Chapagain has won the election to the Province Assembly (PA) Member from Tehrathum PA electoral constituency (2). Chapagain garnered 8,394 votes. His closest contender CPN (UML)'s Tejman Kandangwa got 8,099 votes, the District Election Office said. Chapagain is the central member and the district in-charge of the CPN (Maoist Centre).

Kandangwa is the outgoing Province Assembly member and the UML's district president. There are 32, 812 registered voters in this constituency and the voter turnout was 18,800 in the election held on November 20.
