8 parties of the Maoist faction are going to protest against the detailed peace agreement.
This decision was taken by the meeting of 8 parties held at the Prime Minister's residence Baluwatar today.
It is said in the first decision, 'to oppose and counter any activity that is against the meaning and spirit of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement'.
All 8 parties are unanimous that all matters related to transitional justice should be carried forward through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.
In the meeting, the Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CP Gajurel, Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai, Khadk Bahadur Bishwakarma, Dharmendra Bastola, Bishwabhakt Dulal, Karnajit Budhathoki, Chairman of CPN-Maoist-Socialist and others participated.
After the Supreme Court ordered the registration of a case against Prime Minister Dahal for the conflict-time incident, the Maoist leaders discussed whether to unite the party or, if it is not immediately possible, to work together.
