Nepali Congress (NC) has appealed to one and all to engage in wider campaign against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the appointment of chiefs and members to the constitutional bodies.

In a statement issued today, NC spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma commented that the incumbent government has acted against the constitutional provisions, spirit and procedure regarding the constitutional council since its beginning

NC spokesperson Sharma further said that the party has firmly stood against the government’s move with its institutional decision.

“Our struggle will continue against the unconstitutional move whether that be the issuance of ordinance on constitutional council or the swearing-in of newly appointed chiefs and members of the constitutional bodies”, the release reads.

NC would further widen its struggle against the dissolution of the House of Representatives, he said, expressing NC’s determination not to announce shutdown in a way to hurt the people. —
