The Dahal-Nepal faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chitwan has turned the protest into a victory rally today after the Supreme Court delivered the verdict in favour of the reinstatement of the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

The chairpersons of the faction — Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal — who had reached Chitwan to take part in a protest rally scheduled for today, have returned to Kathmandu. The two leaders took the flight to Kathmandu at 10:45 am.

According to a leader of the Press Organisation, Chitwan, Suresh Chandra Adhikari, some other leaders of the party have been addressing the victory rally as the NCP chairs have left for Kathmandu adding that they will have to attend other important meetings in the capital.

Meanwhile, various leaders including Surendra Prasad Pandey, Narayan Dahal and Renu Dahal have been addressing the rally. A parliamentary party meeting has been called for the afternoon. The leaders, cadres and supporters of the party took out processions before gathering at the victory rally.
