Nilhari Bastola has been elected as the president of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN), the umbrella organization of tourism professionals.
Bastola won by defeating his competitor Ramprasad Sapkota from the counting of votes completed last night.
In the election held last night, Nilhari Bastola won by securing 616 votes while his nearest competitor Kamal Sapkota secured 264 votes. Similarly, another independent candidate Bodhraj Tripathi got limited to 44 votes.
In the election of TAAN, except for one member, Bastola's panel won.
