Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reiterated his stand that he will not resign from the post merely for the demand made repeatedly of late. PM Oli said it at a programme organised to launch 165 roads from his official residence, Baluwatar, today.

PM Oli also urged those acting against the government to withdraw support to the government. "My resignation has been demanded repeatedly by multiple parties. But, they are not able to withdraw their support to the government. Again, they seek resignation. The resignation comes after withdrawal of support," he underscored.

The current parliament does not represent national need at present, so it needs change. "The mathematics of parliament does not reflect present need. But, some people are trying to change the parliamentary number to an artificial number. It is sure the number of parliamentarians does not always depict national need," he asserted.

The PM further stressed the country needs fresh people's mandate for development and prosperity. The fresh mandate is true politics, according to him. "The parliamentary mathematics needs to be adjusted and if it is not managed, election is imperative," the PM emphasized.

The election, as he said, should not be for the vested interest but for the country and people. The mathematics should be changed even to materialize the development and prosperity campaign in the country.

Moreover, he was for conducting investigation into the projects if any irregularities were reported. He, however, said the development was not mere efforts of government but collective will and practice. The time has come to intensify the developmental projects.

On another note, PM Oli said that the parliamentary committee's investigation was hindering the development projects, adding that its duty was to conduct investigation not to interrupt the ongoing works.

The government was planning to develop industrial villages at all local levels, he added.
