Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Main Opposition CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli has questioned why there is no supply of manure to farmers every year. He said that the government has not made arrangements to bring manure for the farmers this year as well.
Addressing a program organized by the All Nepal Farmers Federation at the UML central office in Castle on Saturday, Oli expressed dissatisfaction over how the farmers are not supplied fertilizer by the government.
He also said that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had failed to fulfill his commitment made in the parliament. "How did rice come to be imported only after we left the government?" Standing in Parliament, the caretaker Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said that arrangements would be made for the supply of manure to the farmers immediately and the farmers would get the manure. The voice was sweet. The thing was good. But, arrangements have not been made anywhere, If nothing is done, where does the manure come from? '
Oli said that the government has not been able to make necessary arrangements in time to prevent shortage of manure for the farmers.
