In the 14th General convention of Nepali Congress, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has been re-elected as the party's president for a second term.
In the presidential run-off on Tuesday, Deuba won against Shekhar Koirala, by 878 votes. Deuba secured 2,733 votes while Koirala earned 1,855 votes.
Out of 4,623 votes that were cast, 35 were reported as invalid.
On the other hand, the party’s election committee has announced that they will count the votes of the elections for the other position today.
