KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, chairman of the main opposition party, Maoist Center, has strongly criticized the government’s decision to introduce ordinances.
Speaking at an event in Sukute, Sindhupalchowk, on Tuesday, Prachanda, a former Prime Minister, condemned the KP Oli-led government for turning to ordinances, accusing it of lacking the moral courage to face Parliament.
He described the government as “weak, irresponsible, and morally bankrupt,” claiming that its actions reflect a failure to lead effectively.
Prachanda also pointed out that the government has been moving in the “opposite direction” and has delayed efforts to establish a majority in the Constitutional Council.
“The government is ruling through ordinances because it does not have the courage to face the House, confirming its irresponsibility,” Prachanda stated, calling for an immediate session of Parliament.
