Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has received a vote of confidence from the House of Representatives.
The Prime Minister took the vote of confidence today amid the opposition of Nepali Congress, the main opposition party in the Parliament. Today’s voting was held amid sloganeering by Congress MPs.
Even though the Congress raised slogans, the vote was taken on the resolution asking for a vote of confidence.
When the votes were divided, the Prime Minister received 157 votes while the opposition received zero votes. There was 1 vote in favor of not voting.
