KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane is scheduled to meet Speaker Devraj Ghimire at Singha Durbar today at 10 AM, as confirmed by the party’s acting spokesperson, Manish Jha.

During the meeting, Lamichhane is expected to formally request the reinstatement of his parliamentary position. Earlier, RSP had submitted a letter to the Speaker, urging the removal of his suspension as a Member of Parliament (MP).

Lamichhane had temporarily stepped down as party chair amid an investigation into a cooperative fraud case, appointing DP Aryal as acting chair. However, he participated in Monday’s party meeting in his capacity as chair.

This discussion with the Speaker is considered a significant move in shaping Lamichhane’s parliamentary status and political future.
