Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ramchandra Poudel has expressed the need to hold the upcoming 14th general convention at the stipulated time.
Releasing an anthology of poems by NC youth leader and writer Gururaj Ghimire titled ‘Mrityusanga Sakshyatkar’ (Interaction with death) at Kaushaltar of Bhaktapur on Friday, senior leader Poudel asserted that NC would face a threat of losing its identity if the national convention eluded this time too. He stated that his prime target was to hold the upcoming national convention on time (September 1-4 this year).
Similarly, another NC leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula expressed his doubt about a timely national convention.
On the occasion, NC General-Secretary Dr Shashank Koirala, leaders Shekhar Koirala, Dr Minendra Rijal, Bal Bahadur KC, Arjun Narshing KC, Deepak Giri, Dr Chandra Bhandari and Badri Pandey among others extended their best wishes to writer Ghimire in his successful career in politics and literature.
