Renu Dahal of alliance leading in Bharatpur

The five-party alliance's mayoral candidate in Bharatpur metropolitan city, Renu Dahal, is leading the vote count with a wide margin. She is presently leading with 2,000 votes.

Dahal has received 11,090 votes so far while her closest rival Bijay Subedi of the CPN (UML) has gathered 9,090 votes. Similarly, Jagannath Poudel, an independent candidate, has got 4,958 votes.

Likewise, Chitrasen Adhikari of the Nepali Congress has secured 13,245 votes while Himala Gurung of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has received 7,371 votes so far for the post of deputy mayor.

Alliance candidates for the post of ward chairpersons, where vote counting is underway, are leading the vote counting.

A total of 127,839 votes were cast in Bharatpur metropolitan city.
