President of Rastriya Swotantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane said called for ending political appointments in different state agencies.
At a policy dialogue organized by RSP here today, Lamichhane said experts and qualified persons, who can work independently by neutralizing the influence of political appointments, should be appointed.
He viewed that political appointments would have impacts on the country's good governance.
On a separate note, the former Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister said that credit rating agencies' regulation was important and argued that some few corporate houses have a higher influence on such agencies.
Likewise, Member of the House of Representatives and RSP Vice-President Swornim Wagle said that financial regulations should be made timely adding that the concept of the digital currency was rising in the world.
During the event, monetary policy and other economic agendas were discussed.
