Unsigned ballots found in Myagdi, counting postponed

Counting of votes has been postponed after ballot papers that were not signed by the polling officer were found in Myagdi. During the counting of votes in Malika Rural Municipality-5 Devisthan Center, it was found that 102 ballots for the House of Representatives were not signed by the polling officer.

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has announced that the counting of votes for the House of Representatives has been postponed after the coalition demanded an investigation into the unsigned ballot papers.

During the counting of votes from wards 1 to 5 of Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality, Kham Bahadur Garbuja (Khambir) of Nepali Congress has secured 5,370 votes. Likewise, Harikrishna Shrestha of CPN-UML followed Garbuja by getting 4,649 votes.

Resham Jugjali of CPN (Maoist Center) got 5,174 votes while the candidate of CPN (UML) Yam Bahadur Garbuja is following with 4,851 votes.

The office of the Chief Election Officer has informed that the counting of votes which started on Monday evening has been completed till this morning in all the wards of Dhawalagiri rural municipality and the counting of the votes of the 1st and 5th ward of Malik
