Will Chairperson Nepal be presidential candidate?

Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of CPN United Socialist Party, has said that he will be the presidential candidate only if there is consensus.

In a meeting with the Prime Minister and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Daha at the office of the Maoist Parliamentary Party on Thursday, he said that he would not be the president.

The source said, quoting Chairman Nepal, 'There is no president if there is unanimity.' UML president KP Sharma Oli also offered Nepal to become a presidential candidate last Sunday. The issue was also discussed in the meeting of leaders of Maoist and United Socialist Party on Thursday.
