Civil Bank launches Digital Sudurpaschim campaign

On the occasion of its twelfth anniversary, Civil Bank started digital Sudurpaschim today by organizing separate programs in Dhangadhi and Mahendranagar. 

Chief guest at the event, Nepal Rastra Bank Senior Deputy Governor Dr. Neelam Dhungana Timsina inaugurated 'Digital Sudurpaschim' by paying digitally through a QR code for transactions ranging from street foods, shoe repairs, tempo rides, and temple offerings.


Dr. Dhungana Timsina said that she is happy to start digital payment, which is the highest priority of Nepal Rastra Bank. She further stated that if this campaign can be carried out in the entire country, all the transactions in the country will be transparent and the amount of money sent abroad for printing notes will be accumulated.


The Digital Sudurpaschim campaign emphasizes that the digital ecosystem needs development. As part of this program, the transactions used in daily life, from shoe repairs, tempo rides to offerings at temples, will be digitally paid through a QR code. Sunil Pokharel, Chief Executive Officer of Civil Bank, said that if the digital ecosystem can be developed in the same way, there is no doubt about going digital in the entire Far West.

UDigital, held in Mahendranagar, was held under the chief hospitality of member and former Hon'ble Minister Ramesh Akhtar.


The chief guest and member of the House of Representatives and former Honorable Minister Ramesh Akhtar said that if such digital payment services can be made more accessible, the productivity of the nation as a whole can be increased if the time wasted in paying various fees can be utilized.

Civil Bank Business Chief Bhola Bahadur Bista said customers can now pay only the amount of the bill through digital means, by reviewing the details of their expenses, they can reduce unnecessary expenses and increase savings through digital payment. "With such small savings, they can build capital in the future and enrich themselves and the entire nation", he added.
