KATHMANDU: The Home Ministry held an emergency meeting after protests by a pro-monarchy group turned violent.
The meeting, led by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and attended by the Home Secretary and security officials, focused on the deteriorating security situation.
According to the Home Minister’s secretariat, a decision on the next steps will be made after a thorough assessment of the situation.
“A meeting has been convened to evaluate the protest and decide on further actions,” an official at the Home Minister’s secretariat said.
