KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has declined to issue an interim order in favor of Kulman Ghising, who was dismissed as the Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on Monday.
Justice Abdul Aziz Musalman, sitting alone on the bench, rejected Ghising’s request for an interim order. Ghising had approached the court on Thursday, claiming the government’s decision to remove him was unjust. However, with the court’s refusal to intervene, newly appointed Managing Director Hitendra Dev Shakya will continue in the role.
The bench has decided to keep the case under review and will hear arguments from both parties on Sunday.
