KATHMANDU: Senior Vice President of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Rabindra Mishra has been taken to court.
He was taken to the District Court Kathmandu via the government attorney’s office in handcuffs to extend his remand.
Mishra, Durga Prasain’s campaign RTF commander Munindra Rajbhandari and Santosh Rajawadi, who were dressed as prisoners, were taken to court in handcuffs.
The leaders were arrested following Friday’s violent protests in the Tinkune area, which resulted in two people’s deaths.
Senior Vice President of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Mishra and General Secretary Dhaval Shumsher Rana, who were arrested on Friday night, were also taken to court for remand extension.
Two RPP leaders, Swagat Nepal and Pushkar Khatiwada, have also been taken to court to seek remand.
Similarly, the police are preparing to extend the remand of 41 people for criminal mischief and organized crime.
