Nepal has lost its third wicket while batting against Kuwait in the semi-final match of the ACC Premier Cup cricket tournament. At the end of 13 overs, Nepal has scored 81 runs at the loss of 3 wickets.
Put into bat first in the match underway at the TU cricket ground in Kirtipur, Nepal had a good start with both the openers scoring at a strike rate of more than 100 per cent. However, Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Shiekh were both out within a span of two overs after making 43 and 31 runs respectively.
Bhim Sarki was the second batsman out after facing just four balls and scoring one run. Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel and Kushal Malla are currently batting.
Earlier, Kuwaiti captain Mohammad Aslam won the toss and chose to field first.
Nepal's playing-11 consists of captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, Kushal Bhurtel, Dipendra Singh Airi, Aasif Sheikh, Kushal Malla, Aarif Sheikh, Sompal Kami, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Karan KC, Sandeep Lamichhane and Bhim Sarki.
The second semi-final match is being played between Oman and United Arab Emirates (UAE) at Mulpani Cricket Ground.
