KASKI: The second edition of the Enduro International Mountain Bike Race began in Pokhara from today.
The competition held in Arwavijaya village of Pokhara Metropolitan City-13 will run until November 29. Director of the competition Sunil Chandra Sharma said that 59 cyclists from 13 countries including Nepal are participating in the race.
Inaugurating the competition, Minister of Social Development, Youth and Sports of Gandaki Province Bindu Kumar Thapa said that adventure sports like Pokhara Enduro Race will add a new dimension to Pokhara's tourism and the national economy.
Ward president Kiran Baral said that the mountain bike competition held at Arwa-Vijaydanda, which is 1,400 meters above sea level, will help Pokhara's tourism.
