KATHMANDU: The Nepali men’s team has been limited to runner-up in the first-ever organized Kho Kho World Cup tournament.
Nepal lost to the host, India, by 54-36 points in the final match held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, India.
Earlier, Nepal had lost to India by 78-40 points in the women’s final. In the men’s category, Nepal entered the quarter-finals by becoming runner-up in Group ‘A’.
Nepal lost to India by 42-37 points in the first match. In the second match, Nepal defeated Peru 80-34 points, Brazil 134-8 in the third match and Bhutan 98-8 in the fourth match.
Nepal had defeated Bangladesh 67-18 in the quarter-finals and Iran 72-20 in the semi-finals.
