The Kaski District Tennis Association honored the medal-winning players in the 9th National Sports Tournament held in Pokhara with cash today. Gandaki province made history by winning three gold medals in tennis as part of the national sports and the players were honored. The association honored Pradeep Khadka, who won three gold medals in the competition, with Rs 20,000 in cash, and Anil Sai, who won two gold and one silver in the team, with Rs 12,000.
Similarly, Ashish Khadka and Saugat Vick, who won one gold and one silver medal in the team, were given Rs 7,000 each and Vivek Magar, who won a silver medal, received Rs 5,000. Navin Shrestha, Secretary of Kaski District Tennis Association, informed that Priti Baral, who won a bronze medal, was honored with Rs 2,000 and coach Neeraj Thapa with Rs 5,000 cash.
Likewise, Kaski's leading tennis player also honored the medal winners. Veteran player Sameer Sherchan honored Pradeep Khadka with Rs 25,000 cash and four other male players Anil Sai, Ashish Khadka, Saugat Vick, and Vivek Magar with Rs 5,000 each.
Veteran tennis player Anuj Bastola honored Pradeep with Rs 30,000, Anil Sai with Rs 15,000, and Ashish Khadka, Saugat Vick, Vivek Magar, and Preeti Baral with Rs 5,000 each in the name of his son Abhishek Bastola.
Similarly, veteran tennis player Rajendra Prasad Ghimire honored Nepal's No. 1 tennis player Khadka with Rs 10,000 in cash.
