Nepal loses to Zimbabwe A

Nepal lost the first match of the T20 series against Zimbabwe A by 6 wickets today. Zimbabwe A completed the target of 182 runs set by Nepal at the Kirtipur-based TRI Cricket Ground by losing 4 wickets in 18.5 overs. Tadiwanashe Marumani top-scored for Zimbabwe with 56 runs. Captain Tony Munyonga added 50 runs while Innocent Kaya scored 47 runs.

 Nepal's Basir Ahmed took two wickets and captain Sandeep Lamichhane and Karan KC took one wicket each. After losing the toss, Nepal lost 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 181 runs. Adil Ansari remained unbeaten on 47 runs for Nepal. He contributed 47 runs in 27 balls with four fours and three sixes.

 Similarly, Kaushal Bhurtel added 46 runs while Rohit Poudel scored 39 runs. Dipendra Singh Airy scored 28 runs while Asif Sheikh was dismissed for 9 runs. Arif Sheikh was out for 2 runs while Karan KC remained unbeaten on 4 runs. In bowling, Zimbabwe's Brad Evans, Luke Jongwe, Brendon Mabhuta and Jon Masra took equal 1-1 wickets.

 Nepal is playing a series against Zimbabwe A team in preparation for the triangular one-day series in the United States under the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League Two.
