Nepal has made a winning start in ACC Premier Cup cricket. In the opening match today, Nepal defeated Malaysia by 6 wickets.
Chasing the target of 236 runs given by Malaysia for victory, Nepal completed the target by adding 237 runs for the loss of four wickets in 36.2 overs.
Bhim Sarki and Kushal Malla scored fifty runs for Nepal. Bhim scored 71 runs. Kushal Malla scored an unbeaten 70 runs. Captain Rohit Paudel scored 42 runs and opener Kushal Bhurtel scored 38 runs.
Earlier, Malaysia, who won the toss and batted first, scored 235 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
In bowling, Nepal's Sompal Kami and Sandeep Lamichhane took three wickets each. Lalit Rajwanshi took two wickets and Gulshan Jha took one wicket.
Nepal will play the second match against Oman on Friday.
