Nepal Police Club in final of Damak Gold Cup

Defending champions Nepal Police Club Kathmandu have entered the final of the ongoing Damak Gold Cup.

The Nepal Police Club secured their way to the final of the Damak Gold Cup by defeating Gorkha Boys Rupendehi 1-0 in the last semi-final match on Wednesday.

 In the 59th minute of the match, Nirkumar Rai's shot from the D-area resulted in a goal for the Police. His goal was decisive for the victory. AThe Police Club will compete with Manang Marshyangdi Club for the title on Friday.

 Police's Rai was declared Man of the Match for Wednesday's match. He received ten thousand rupees. Ten teams, including four foreign teams, participated in the competition organized by the Damak City Sports Development Committee.

 The winner of the competition will be given Rs. 13 lakh and 11 thousand. Those adjudged to be the top scorer, the best goalkeeper, the best defender, the best midfielder, the best coach and the best forward will get Rs 21,000 each.
